Stayed there for work. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE!!! The parking garage is a joke! You have to pay $7. THERE'S NO CONNECTION TO THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL. The room was nice and clean. I loved the shower! Not really sure about staying in downtown Topeka at night but it was okay. I did not feel completely safe but it was doable. The hotel employees weren't very helpful with our questions.

This is one of the best places to stay in town. Hotel and staff are both excellent. Hotel bar and restaurant are also great. If you are staying in Topeka... I'd recommend staying here over anywhere else in town. Only took off a star because sometimes it smells like they have a bad seal on a toilet or something. Slight smell of sewage. Both in the room and lobby. It is also VERY easy to hear other guests from your room.

CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT CAREFULLY - in spite of our having parked on the street, used Marriott points for the stay, and been explicitly told at checkout that there was nothing due, I noticed that two days after check out, I was charged the $7 plus sales tax to the credit card they kept on file, for “self parking” - that is the charge for the garage. I called just now to query and was told they consider this a “convenience fee” - absolutely unacceptable behaviour. Front desk unhelpful when I called to resolve the issue, so I filed a dispute with my credit card company, who immediately agreed that they consider this a fraudulent charge. You cannot charge guests for services not received. It is such a shame, because other than this issue, the hotel was excellent. Clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds - perfect for our one night stay with family on the road cross-country.

Our Stay at the cyrus hotel was great! It is a gorgeous hotel and would stay again. Staff was very friendly and informative. The room was very clean. We tried the weather room and had lamb chops and their Cajun pasta! It was delicious and our server was very friendly. Great atmosphere! We also had a chance to eat their breakfast buffet, it was also very good and breakfast went to 10:30 perfect for a late riser. I had a great experience but for the pricey rooms I think it was well worth it!

I stayed here previously while on a work trip and everything was perfect! I recently stayed here ( this week) for the same reason, work. The hotel had a horrible smell (possibly sewage?) on the 5th floor and because I could also smell it in my room it caused me to have a horrible headache! I told the front desk worker and he stated “ I’ll let housekeeping know” but I feel as if that problem went a bit deeper than housekeeping…. Other than that the ladies and young man ( working on different shifts) were great!
